Michele M. Missel, LICSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in social work, providing services to children and families, with 8 years as a Clinical Social Worker providing mental health therapy. A background in child protective services, adoption, and abuse/neglect issues has given her the skills to work with a variety adults, children, adolescents and families. Michele has training in adoption, blended family issues, anger management, and expertise addressing adolescent specific problems, and their unique development.
Michele provides a wide range of techniques and utilizes homework, psycho-educational materials and hands-on cooperative approach to healing. She has a unique ability to reach children and adolescents while holding them accountable for their own behaviors. She tends to take a team approach when addressing family problems and utilizes collaboration. Michele is also an adjunct instructor at MCC teaching Sociology, is a member of National Association of Social Workers and a member of Association of Private Practice Therapists.
